I love you

I’m here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long, I will stay with you. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you. I am stronger than Depression and I am braver than Loneliness and nothing will ever exhaust me.

Spring

Spring is a time of year where we get the urge to clean and get rid of the old and make room for new:) I have been working hard to get rid of my physical possessions that no longer serve me. Going through boxes, getting rid of clothes that no longer fit me and that I don't enjoy anymore, and trying to just throw stuff away that has accumulated over the Winter months.

I have also tried to work on my mental garbage that is no longer useful to me such as old thought patterns and complaining and whining about things that are what they are.

I can't decide which is harder! Why do we get so attached to stuff that is really just garbage? Both in our thought patterns and in our physical lives?

Agenda

Be patient

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

Yoga Teacher Training

Happy Monday my Lovelies! I hope you had as wonderful a weekend as me! I spent my whole weekend doing yoga teacher training:) I started a month ago and will finish 15 of July:) I am excited to finally be learning how to be a yoga teacher!

We did an all physical practice on Saturday mostly breaking down Surya Namaskara A and Surya Namaskara B or Sun Salutations A and B. I learned so much! We also learned how to assist when teaching these poses.

On Sunday we spent the morning working on our mental practice, getting rid of the garbage in our heads, the negativity and all the stuff that we no longer need! We did two exercises, one being a free write about something that we want in our lives but can not seem achieve. We wrote about this for 15min, about why we think we have not achieved it. So basically what our fears are concerning this subject in our lives. Then we wrote affirmations about the top three fears we had. My affirmations are: I am a successful positive person who contributes to society, I make successful decisions that are exactly what I need in my life at that time, and I am happy and make friends easily, I sleep well though the night even when I am alone. We were instructed to put these by our beds and read them every morning to get us in a positive frame of mind for the day:) I will let you know how this all works out! The second exercise was a meditation about being a mountain and how we need to be grounded even though all the seasons are going to happen around us.

I had a great weekend discovering so much about myself and my mental and physical practice! I am also reading a few books that accompany the course which have been very  inspirational. I will share bits and pieces of those with you in the future!

Have a great week my Lovelies!

Yes Please!

asdfghjkl

1. asdfghjkl;

What a person types when the conversation is getting awkward and needs some spice.
The person will wonder what's going on and start up a conversation about the weird type.
"asdfghjkl;"
"what was that shit?"
"i don't know, but how was your day?"
"pretty good! how about yours? wanna hang out sometime?"

2. An exclamation of anger, confusion, and/or frustration recognized in many online forums. Used when no other word seems to fit or nothing is coming to mind.
1. Before you can begin touch typeing you must first rest your hands on the asdfghjkl;

2. person1: Wait. How are you going to deal with that?"
person2: ASDFGHJKL; Idk

Who knew?!?! These are the things that make me wonder, who comes up with this stuff?!?

Refuse to entertain your old pain

Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life.

Supermoon

There will be "supermoon" this Saturday 19 March. A supermoon is a new or full moon that happens to coincide with a close approach of the moon to the earth. Saturday's full moon will be the closest it has been to Earth in 18 years, according to Spaceweather.com.

So if you get a chance take a look Saturday night, and perhaps get some pictures:) I know that's what I will be trying to do!

Vision Board

One of the things on my bucket list is to make a vision board! While reading the same article on the Lululemon website that inspired me to write my bucket list I saw this vision board:) I am in the process of making my own as you read this. I have the board for the back and I have started looking though magazines and searching for words and ideas. The process of making a vision board really makes you think about what your long and short term goals are, kind of like the bucket list! Anyways, when I am finished mine I will take a picture and share it with you and give you the information you need to make your own:) (which I would love to see!) In the future I would like to teach classes on how to make vision boards and hopefully inspire many to make their own!

And why do I want?

I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.

My Stroke of Insight

I just finished reading this book My Stroke of Insight by Jill Bolte Taylor Ph. D. This book was amazing! I love reading about brain research and this is an account of a brain scientest as she has a stroke and how she recovers. She talks a lot about her right brain and left brain and their functions. She also gives tips on how to live in your right brain which is the place of bliss without judgement and ego.

This is what her website says:

Jill Bolte Taylor was a 37-year-old Harvard-trained and published brain scientist when a blood vessel exploded in her brain.  Through the eyes of a curious neuroanatomist, she watched her mind completely deteriorate whereby she could not walk, talk, read, write, or recall any of her life. Because of her understanding of how the brain works, her respect for the cells composing her human form, and an amazing mother, Jill completely recovered her mind, brain and body.  In My Stroke of Insight: A Brain Scientist's Personal Journey, Jill shares with us her recommendations for recovery and the insight she gained into the unique functions of the right and left halves of her brain.  Having lost the categorizing, organizing, describing, judging and critically analyzing skills of her left brain, along with its language centers and thus ego center, Jill’s consciousness shifted away from normal reality.  In the absence of her left brain’s neural circuitry, her consciousness shifted into present moment thinking whereby she experienced herself “at one with the universe.”

My Bucket List

Happy Monday my Lovelies! I have added a page to my blog called My Bucket List! It is still in progress as I am sure it will be for the rest of my life but I like to think it is coming along very well:) I have written many of these lists in the past but not really had them in a place that I would see them as much as I would on this blog. So I thought this would be an excellent place to not only show you, but for me to be reminded daily of my long and short term goals. I was inspired while on the Lululemon website reading about this blog. If you get a chance please take a look at my bucket list and let me know what you think! and perhaps write your own...

*Research has shown that couples who recall amusing events report higher satisfaction in their relationships. So think back to a hilarious moment you had together an vow to reenact it every year.
*Dates that don't involve dinner are hot right now!
*25 fun ways to get naked without freezing your butt off...Play strip Jenga in front of the space heater, wrap your bare bod in a hot towel you just got out of the dryer, go on a naked run (nuderuns.com)
*Drop pounds by staying in bed longer. Research links 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night to faster caloire burning. And a new study suggests getting 8 1/2 hours of shut-eye helps torch fat.

fear and love

There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.

Unseen

I had a crazy dream last night! All I can remember from the dream is helping a student with their reading. The word they could not read was unseen. So I looked it up on thefreedictionary.com and this is what it said:

Noun1.unseen - a belief that there is a realm controlled by a divine spirit
belief - any cognitive content held as true
Kingdom of God - the spiritual domain over which God is sovereign

 Creepy or what?!?!

love

wake somebody else up

Everyone, at some point in their lives, wakes up in the middle of the night with the feeling that they are all alone in the world, and that nobody loves them now and that nobody will ever love them, and that they will never have a decent night’s sleep again and will spend their lives wandering blearily around a loveless landscape, hoping desperately that their circumstances will improve, but suspecting, in their heart of hearts, that they will remain unloved forever. The best thing to do in these circumstances is to wake somebody else up, so that they can feel this way, too.
