Sooooo the tea party was heaps of fun! I really like the three below:) we drank about 12 different types of all different teas but for some reason I'm drawn to the black teas, kind of interesting... What's your favourite David's Tea?

TGIF

Is my afternoon snack trying to tell me something?!?

TGIF my Lovelies! What will you be up to this weekend? I have heaps of fun plans:) I'm having a Tea Party with some friends tomorrow, we bought over $50 of David's Teas to try! I can't wait!!! I'm also doing a Frenchy's run with my good friend Tess from Tess of P'George, I'll be sure to share our finds with you! I'm also hoping for some snow...I guess we shall see!

clean microwave muffin


1 Minute “Clean” Berrylicious Microwave Minute Muffin


•1/4 cup quick oats (gluten free or regular)

•1 egg

•small handful of organic blueberries

•little bit of brown sugar/stevia (optional)

•tbsp soymilk (for added moistness!)

Mix it all up into a coffee mug!
Put it in the microwave for 1 minute, make sure it doesn’t overflow! Add an extra 30 sec if it needs to firm up.

Kiss Me on My Tulips;)


Here is a look at the new OPI Spring collection! I. am. so. in. love!!! I am wearing Kiss Me on My Tulips which I love! and am still in awe over the name... They have also gone back to their old formula which has made me very happy:) I think I'll have to get Red Lights Ahead... Where? and I have a Herring Problem... I am such an OPI addict!!!

OMG! I have been looking for something like this forever to display my nail polish! I can't wait to make one of my own:) No more shoe box for my OPI! Although, I may need a much bigger rack...

Salted Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate



I know someone that would love this, so I had to share! Via oneordinaryday

Salted Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate


1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup water
3 cups milk
3-4 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips or 3 oz. finely chopped chocolate

In a saucepan, add the sugar and cocoa and whisk in the water until smooth, then whisk in the milk over medium-high heat. Heat until steaming. Remove the pan from the heat and add the peanut butter and chocolate chips. Let sit for a few seconds, then blend with a hand-held immersion blender or whisk until frothy. Finish with a touch of sea salt and some toasted marshmallows. (Don’t skip this part, because you’ll really be missing out!)

Run!!!



The Falmouth Freezer quarter marathon tomorrow afternoon! My first Winter race:) I'll take some pictures to share with you. Can't wait! Carb loading and staying away from gluten and chocolate for the next day. Wish me luck!!!

Skip The Frosting Cupcakes!

I found this great idea via tonispilsbury and had to share with you!

Want to make cupcakes in a hurry?  Skip the frosting!  Set your baking timer for five minutes before your cupcakes are done and place a large marshmallow on top of each cupcake. They also have a recipe for my favourte cupcakes, Can't wait to try them!

Toni’s Real Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients:

  1. cake or all-purpose flour- 2 1/2 cups
  2. sugar- 1 1/2 cups
  3. baking soda- 1 tspn
  4. fine salt- 1 tspn
  5. ground cinnamon- 1 tspn
  6. cocoa powder- 1 tspn
  7. canola or vegetable oil- 1 1/2 cups
  8. milk- 1 cup
  9. egg whites- 4
  10. red food coloring- 2 tbspns
  11. white distilled vinegar- 1 tspn
  12. vanilla extract- 1 tspn
  13. strawberry extract- 1 tspn
  14. marshmallows, jumbo

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cocoa powder
  3. In another mixing bowl or electric stand mixer, whisk together oil, milk, egg whites, food coloring, vinegar, vanilla and strawberry extracts
  4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a stand mixer until batter is smooth
  5. Pour batter into lined cupcake tin
  6. Set timer five minutes before baking is complete, approximately 14-16 minutes to add marshmallows
  7. Finish baking for five minutes until toothpick comes out clean, total baking 19-21 minutes

Happy February

I'm looking forward to an exciting February! Lots of new things on the horizon... I'll give you an update when I know more:) as for now, this is what it looks like in Nova Scotia, the roads a a wee bit of a mess! I'm hoping for heaps of snow so I can go snowshoeing, skating and do other fun Winter things!!!
