32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed ripe banana
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey.

Maritime hodgepodge
I stole this from my friend Jocelyn's Facebook. It's my all time favorite summer dish! It reminds me of my childhood growing up in the Valley with all the gardens and fresh veggies:)
Maritime hodgepodge
This traditional dish from the Maritimes is a tasty way to eat more veggies. The colourful array in a light sauce elevates everyday day vegetables to something scrumptious.

12 baby new potatoes, cut in half
250 mL (1 cup) thickly sliced carrots or baby-cut carrots
500 mL (2 cups) broccoli florets
250 mL (1 cup) sugar snap peas, snow peas, or green beans, trimmed
125 mL (1/2 cup) frozen green peas
15 mL (1 tbsp) vegetable oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 mL (1/2 tsp) dried tarragon, savoury or thyme
Pepper
30 mL (2 tbsp) all-purpose flour
375 mL (1 1/2 cup) 1% milk, heated
10 mL (2 tsp) Dijon or dry mustard
30 mL (2 tbsp) chopped fresh basil or dill (optional)
Directions
In a large saucepan, combine potatoes and carrots; add cold water to cover by 5 cm (2 inches). Cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Uncover, reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender.
Add broccoli, sugar snap peas and green peas; boil for 3 minutes or until tender-crisp. Drain; set aside.
Return pan to medium heat; heat vegetable oil. Sauté onion, tarragon and 1mL (1/4 tsp) pepper for about 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in flour; sauté for 30 seconds. Gradually whisk in heated milk and mustard. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly; reduce heat to medium and simmer, whisking, for about 2 minutes or until thickened.
Remove from heat; stir in vegetables and toss to coat. Season to taste with pepper.
Transfer to a warmed serving bowl and sprinkle with fresh herbs (if using).

Neon Orange
I got this neon orange nail polish from American Apparel yesterday. I love how fun it is but it's already chipped:( it reminds me of Kraft Dinner sauce powder. Haha. So fun! I'll be rocking it this weekend with my new Lulu Covers it All dress at my hometown's Heart of the Valley Festival.

Ice Age 4
It
Here are a few pictures of my niece and I walking to Ice Age 4 in 3D last night. It was her first 3D film, I think she was impressed. We enjoyed it, but I've always enjoyed watching childrens films. There were some pretty funny and cute parts. I liked the music:) And 3D films are always fun!

Pippa's Boots
I'm loving Pippa Middleton's style! I've noticed she wears a lot of flats which are easy on the feet. I'm loving these boots. I want to find a pair similar for this Fall. I do have similar pairs in black and grey, but I love the brown! And lucky for her there's no salt and deep snow in London to make her boots old before their time.

Happy Weekend!
It's been crazy hot here the last week and according to the weather it's supposed to stay this way. I have no real plans for this weekend except to keep cool. I may head to the Farmers Market in the AM and then see what the rest of the weekend has in store. I'm sure I'll be reading a bit of my Fifty Shades Of Gray as well as my book on Hoarders- I'm finding it super interesting! I should have been a physiologist.

Upper Clements Park
On the weekend Ian and I took Dad, Sharon, Chantelle and Leah to Upper Clements Park. The girls were super excited! We had lots of fun riding the roller coaster, Flume ride and I really liked Laser tag. Too bad Ian lost the game for us:(
The park made me realize just how old my body feels these days. That roller coaster was hard on my bones! And after the 10th time on the Flume ride I was feeling it! I remember going there as a kid and not feeling a thing except for fun!

The Pretty Committee
I am a sucker for a deal! I got this great kit at Sephora for $42. That's pretty much how much the blush alone costs:) I'm super excited because they are all full size except for the high beam that's 40ml-but will prob last me forever. The blush is bella Bamba which is a 3D pink blush. Exactly what I have been looking for! It also comes With Tips & Tricks! As well as a cute see through bag.

Im finally getting into 50 Shades of Gray. I'm at the part where she has agreed to the contract and is returning the books he gave her with this quote. It's not the best book I've read but it's not the worst either...

Strawberries
It's strawberry season in the Valley! My favorite time of the year! I really wanted to make strawberry wine this year but I'm not supposed to be straining my back right now:( perhaps next year. For now I'll just eat as many as I can:)
